ศิริราชเปิดภารกิจ “Love for Humanity” ผ่าตัดเปลี่ยนข้อเข่า 100 ข้อ ฉลอง 70 ปี ความสัมพันธ์ไทย–ศรีลังกา
วันที่ 6 พฤศจิกายน 2568 เวลา 10.30 น. คณะแพทยศาสตร์ศิริราชพยาบาล มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล จัดงานแถลงข่าวเปิดภารกิจ “Love for Humanity by Siriraj @ Sri Lanka” เพื่อเป็นการเฉลิมพระเกียรติ พระบาทสมเด็จพระปรเมนทรรามาธิบดีศรีสินทรมหาวชิราลงกรณ พระวชิรเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัว และสมเด็จพระกนิษฐาธิราชเจ้า กรมสมเด็จพระเทพรัตนราชสุดาฯ สยามบรมราชกุมารี ในวโรกาสทรงเจริญพระชนมายุครบ 70 พรรษา พร้อมทั้งน้อมเกล้าน้อมกระหม่อมถวายเป็นพระราชกุศลแด่พระบาทสมเด็จพระบรมชนกาธิเบศร มหาภูมิพลอดุลยเดชมหาราช บรมนาถบพิตร
ภารกิจครั้งนี้ยังเป็นส่วนหนึ่งในการเฉลิมฉลองความสัมพันธ์ทางการทูตครบ 70 ปี ไทย–ศรีลังกา และเป็นการสร้างสะพานแห่งมิตรภาพด้านการแพทย์ ศาสนา และมนุษยธรรมระหว่างสองประเทศ
พิธีแถลงข่าวได้รับเกียรติจาก
ศ.นพ.อภิชาติ อัศวมงคลกุล คณบดีคณะแพทยศาสตร์ศิริราชพยาบาล เป็นประธานในพิธี พร้อมด้วยคณะผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิจากฝ่ายสงฆ์และฝ่ายการทูต ได้แก่
• พระราชภาวนาวชิรากร เจ้าอาวาสวัดป่านาคำน้อย
• พระราชวชิรธรรมาจารย์ เจ้าอาวาสวัดป่าบ้านตาด
• พระพรหมศากยวงศ์วิสุทธิ์ ผู้ช่วยเจ้าอาวาสวัดบวรนิเวศราชวรวิหาร เจ้าคณะภาค 6–7 ธรรมยุต

ภารกิจดำเนินงานโดยทีมแพทย์จิตอาสาศิริราช นำโดย
ศ.นพ.กีรติ เจริญชลวานิช หัวหน้าภาควิชาศัลยศาสตร์ออร์โธปิดิคส์และกายภาพบำบัด
ในครั้งนี้ ทีมแพทย์ไทยจะเดินทางไปปฏิบัติภารกิจ ณ The National Hospital – Kandy เมืองแคนดี ประเทศศรีลังกา ระหว่างวันที่ 15 – 21 พฤศจิกายน 2568 โดยจะทำการผ่าตัดเปลี่ยนข้อเข่าให้ผู้ป่วยจำนวน 79 ราย รวม 100 ข้อ เพื่อช่วยคืนการเคลื่อนไหว เพิ่มคุณภาพชีวิตให้แก่ผู้ป่วย และถ่ายทอดองค์ความรู้ด้านการแพทย์แก่บุคลากรท้องถิ่นอย่างยั่งยืน
ศิริราชเชื่อมั่นว่า “ความเจ็บปวด คือภาษาเดียวกัน” และ “หัวใจของการรักษา ไม่มีพรมแดน” ภารกิจนี้จึงไม่เพียงมุ่งเน้นการรักษา แต่ยังเป็นการส่งต่อโอกาสและมิตรภาพจากคนไทยสู่ประชาชนศรีลังกา
คณะแพทยศาสตร์ศิริราชพยาบาล เชิญชวนประชาชนร่วมเป็นส่วนหนึ่งในการสนับสนุนภารกิจเพื่อมนุษยธรรมครั้งนี้ได้โดยการร่วมบริจาคสมทบทุนผ่าน

Siriraj Performs 100 Knee Surgeries in Sri Lanka to Celebrate 70 Years of Friendship
On November 6, 2025 at 10:30 AM, the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, held a press conference to officially launch the mission “Love for Humanity by Siriraj @ Sri Lanka.”
This mission is organized to honor
His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua
and Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn,
on the auspicious occasion of Their Majesties’ 70th Birthday Anniversary.
The mission is also held in remembrance and as a merit-making tribute to
His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great.
In addition, this project commemorates the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Thailand and Sri Lanka, representing a bridge of friendship connecting religion, medical collaboration, and humanitarian care between the two nations.
The event was presided over by
Professor Apichat Asavamongkolkul, M.D., Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University,
together with distinguished guests including:
• Phra Rajapavanavajirakorn, Abbot of Wat Pa Nakhumnnoi
• Phra Rajavachirathamacharn, Abbot of Wat Pa Ban Tat
• Phra Brahmasakyawongsvisuth, Assistant Abbot of Wat Bovoranives Vihara and Ecclesiastical Governor of Region 6–7 (Thammayut)

The humanitarian medical mission will be led by
Professor Keerati Chareoncholvanich, M.D.,
Head of the Department of Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation Medicine, Siriraj Hospital.
From November 15 – 21, 2025, the volunteer medical team from Siriraj will conduct 100 knee replacement surgeries for 79 Sri Lankan patients at The National Hospital – Kandy, Sri Lanka, aiming to restore mobility, improve quality of life, and transfer medical expertise to local healthcare professionals to strengthen the health system sustainably.
Siriraj believes that “Pain speaks one universal language” and that “The heart of healing knows no borders.”
This mission is grounded in compassion, medical excellence, and human connection—bringing hope and opportunity from the people of Thailand to the people of Sri Lanka.
